Experience and Contributions:

As a lecturer in International Relations, I am committed to enhancing students' awareness and understanding of the impact of global challenges on local realities in Indonesia. I employ up-to-date references, project-based learning, and practical examples relevant to the Indonesian context, particularly in courses such as International Business Politics and International Trade Politics. I also integrate my research and publications, such as the sister city and sister province relationships between Indonesia and South Korea, into teaching materials to provide concrete examples of the impact of international cooperation at the local level.

Teaching Philosophy:

I emphasize critical thinking, questioning skills, and the exploration of various perspectives to help students understand the impact of global policies on daily life and contribute to solving global challenges locally. My teaching vision aligns with the International Relations Study Program at FISIP UB, aiming to produce competent graduates who are sensitive to local dynamics and capable of bridging global and local realities.

Research Interest

My research interests are centered around the intersection of international relations and local impacts, with a particular focus on how global dynamics influence local realities in Indonesia. I am deeply engaged in exploring various aspects of international cooperation and their tangible effects at the community level.

  1. Sister City and Sister Province Relationships: My work on sister city and sister province relationships between Indonesia and South Korea investigates how these partnerships foster cultural exchange, economic cooperation, and mutual understanding. This research aims to highlight the practical benefits and challenges of such relationships, providing insights into how local communities can leverage international connections to address local issues.

  2. International Trade Politics: I explore the political dimensions of international trade and their implications for Indonesia. This includes analyzing trade agreements, economic policies, and their impacts on local industries and communities. My goal is to understand how global trade policies can be shaped to benefit local economies and support sustainable development.

  3. Political Economy of Tourism: Tourism is a critical sector for many local economies in Indonesia. My research in this area focuses on the intersection of politics, economics, and tourism. I examine how government policies, international relations, and global economic trends affect the tourism industry, and how tourism, in turn, impacts local communities, economies, and cultures.

Through these research interests, I aim to contribute to the academic field of international relations while providing practical insights that can help local communities navigate the complexities of a globalized world. My work is driven by a commitment to bridging the gap between global and local perspectives, ensuring that international cooperation and policies are informed by and beneficial to the realities on the ground.
